Commercial Disclosure

DisabilityChoice.com.au is committed to transparency about how this website operates and how it earns revenue. This page explains our commercial relationships so you can assess our comparison content with full information.

About DisabilityChoice.com.au

DisabilityChoice.com.au is an independently operated comparison website. We are not an NDIS plan manager, not a registered NDIS provider, and not affiliated with the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) or any government body. We do not provide plan management services and we do not handle NDIS funds.

Our purpose is to help NDIS participants, their families, and carers compare plan management providers using independently assessed, objective criteria — and to match interested participants with providers who suit their situation.

How We Earn Revenue

DisabilityChoice.com.au earns revenue through two mechanisms:

Referral fees

When a participant submits an inquiry through our comparison form and is matched with a provider in our panel, that provider pays us a referral fee. This fee is paid from the provider’s marketing budget — it is a cost to the business, not to you. It does not come from your NDIS plan funding in any way, and it does not reduce the support funding available to you under your plan.

Directory listing enhancements

Providers may pay to enhance the visual presentation of their listing on this website — for example, to add a logo, additional contact information, or a featured badge. These enhancements are cosmetic only. They do not affect a provider’s position in our comparison rankings, their scores on any rated criterion, or whether they appear in inquiry matching results. A provider with a paid listing enhancement ranks identically to one without, if their objective scores are the same.

What Does Not Affect Editorial Rankings

Neither referral fees nor listing enhancement fees influence our editorial comparison scores or rankings in any way. Our overall scores are based solely on the following objective criteria, assessed independently:

  • Payment speed — how quickly the provider pays NDIS provider invoices on behalf of participants
  • Portal and app quality — the capability and usability of the participant-facing budget tracking tools
  • Support responsiveness — the accessibility and quality of the provider’s participant support team
  • Geographic coverage — whether the provider operates in all states and territories, including regional and remote areas
  • Compliance — registration status, NDIS Price Guide adherence, and absence of regulatory action

A provider cannot pay to improve their score, change their ranking, or be included in our comparison panel if they do not meet our baseline criteria. Providers are included because they are active, nationally operating plan management organisations — not because of any commercial relationship with DisabilityChoice.com.au.

Provider Disclosure Obligation

Providers in our comparison panel are made aware of this referral arrangement. Before entering into any service agreement with a participant referred through DisabilityChoice.com.au, the provider is expected to disclose the referral relationship to that participant. If a provider you connect with through this website does not make this disclosure, we encourage you to ask them about it directly and to contact us at hello@disabilitychoice.com.au so we can follow up.
