DisabilityChoice.com.au is an independently operated comparison website, run by Disability Choice AU (ABN 39 691 980 560). We are not an NDIS plan manager, not a registered NDIS provider, and not affiliated with the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) or any government body. We do not provide plan management services and we do not handle NDIS funds.
Our purpose is to help NDIS participants, their families, and carers compare plan management providers using independently assessed, objective criteria — and, for those who would like us to, to match them with a provider suited to their situation.
How We Earn Revenue
DisabilityChoice.com.au earns revenue through referral fees paid by plan managers in our provider panel.
When a participant submits an inquiry through our matching form and is connected with a provider in our panel, that provider pays us a referral fee. This fee is paid from the provider's marketing budget — it is a cost to the business, not to you. It does not come from your NDIS plan funding in any way, and it does not reduce the support funding available to you under your plan.
Who We Can Match You With
It is worth being clear about the difference between the two things this site does.
Our reviews and directory cover the wider market. The directory lists every registered NDIS plan manager in Australia, and our reviews assess providers whether or not they have a commercial relationship with us.
Our matching service is narrower. When you submit an inquiry, we introduce you to one provider from our referral panel — a smaller group of plan managers who hold a referral agreement with us and pay a fee when we send them an inquiry. We cannot match you with a provider who is not in that panel.
If you would prefer to choose from the whole market yourself, our directory is the place to start, and you are under no obligation to use our matching service.
What Does Not Affect Editorial Rankings
Referral fees do not influence our editorial comparison scores or rankings in any way. Our overall scores are based solely on the following objective criteria, assessed independently:
- Payment speed — how quickly the provider pays NDIS provider invoices on behalf of participants
- Portal and app quality — the capability and usability of the participant-facing budget tracking tools
- Customer support — the accessibility and quality of the provider’s participant support team
- Disability type experience — documented experience supporting participants with specific disability types
- Geographic coverage — whether the provider operates across relevant states and territories
- Compliance record — registration status with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission and absence of regulatory action
A provider cannot pay to improve their score, change their ranking, or be included in our comparison panel if they do not meet our baseline criteria. Providers are included in our referral panel because they meet our compliance baseline — not on the basis of referral fee size or any other commercial consideration.
