NDSP Plan Manager Review (2026): Is NDSP Right for You?

Independent review of NDSP Plan Managers — Australia-wide NDIS plan management, Nappa portal, Paralympics Australia partner. Covers pros, cons, payment speed, and who it suits.

NDSP Plan Managers is an Australia-wide NDIS plan manager headquartered in Adelaide, South Australia. Founded in 2017, NDSP operates as an independent — not corporate-owned — provider registered to deliver plan management in every state and territory. It has accumulated one of the largest participant review bases of any plan manager in the country and is the official plan management partner of Paralympics Australia. This independent review examines NDSP's Nappa portal, payment speed, support model, and which participants it suits best.

Quick verdict

4.2/5 — Overall

Data basis: Score calculated from publicly available sources: NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission registration data, provider-disclosed service commitments, aggregated participant review data (1,050+ reviews across platforms), and publicly disclosed performance metrics including call response time and invoice processing SLA.

NDSP is a solid, well-established plan manager whose independence from corporate ownership, large review base, and capable Nappa portal make it a credible choice for participants across all states. Its 3–5 business day invoice processing sits at the industry standard rather than the leading edge, and its support hours do not extend into the evening. Participants who value an established, participant-trusted independent provider with a full-featured budget portal will find NDSP reliable. Those who need the fastest possible payment processing or extended-hours support may find a closer fit elsewhere in the market.

What we like

1. One of the largest participant review bases in Australia. NDSP has accumulated more than 1,050 participant reviews across platforms, averaging 4.5 stars — a review base that is larger than most NDIS plan managers have accrued. While no single review platform tells the full story, the volume and consistency of positive feedback across multiple sources indicates a service that reliably meets participant expectations at scale. For participants who find public review evidence useful when choosing a provider — particularly those who are selecting a plan manager for the first time and have no personal referral to rely on — NDSP's review depth provides a level of social proof that smaller or newer providers simply cannot match. The reviews consistently cite responsive staff, transparent communication, and reliable invoice processing as the reasons participants stay.

2. Nappa portal delivers practical budget visibility without an app dependency. NDSP's Nappa portal provides real-time budget tracking, an invoice submission and tracking tool, and a Provider Finder directory for locating registered and unregistered providers. The portal is web-based and accessible across devices without requiring a dedicated app download or account migration. The invoice tracker — which gives participants visibility over the status of submitted invoices from submission to payment — is a feature that participants and support coordinators regularly highlight as more transparent than the portals offered by comparable plan managers. For participants who manage a high number of providers or who want to stay closely informed about budget expenditure without needing to contact their plan manager by phone, Nappa provides meaningful day-to-day utility.

3. Independent ownership removes corporate-interest considerations. Unlike several major plan managers — including MyIntegra (owned by ASX-listed APM) and Plan Partners (part of Lifestart) — NDSP operates without a listed company or private equity parent. This matters in a service context where a participant's interests and a corporate shareholder's interests can diverge. An independent plan manager is not under pressure to cross-sell other services, report to non-disability-sector shareholders, or hit return-on-equity targets set by a parent company. NDSP's focus on plan management as a standalone service, without adjacent revenue streams to promote, means the advice participants receive is more likely to be oriented toward their plan outcomes than toward upselling a related service the parent company also sells.

4. Paralympics Australia partnership signals genuine disability sector commitment. NDSP is the official plan management partner of Paralympics Australia — a sponsorship relationship that situates the company within elite disability sport and signals a long-term commitment to the disability sector that extends beyond commercial plan management. For participants for whom alignment with the disability community matters — including those who have a background in disability sport, those with acquired disabilities who are also engaged with sport rehabilitation, or those who simply want to choose a provider with a visible presence in the disability community — this partnership adds a dimension that most plan managers do not offer. It does not affect service delivery directly, but it indicates a values and brand orientation that is consistent with a mission-driven provider rather than a financial services company that happens to serve the NDIS market.

What could be better

Payment speed sits at the industry standard, not the leading edge. NDSP's stated invoice processing SLA of 3–5 business days is consistent with the market average for NDIS plan management, but it trails the fastest players in the market. My Plan Manager processes most invoices within 2–3 business days, and MyIntegra's automation can prepare eligible invoices for NDIA submission in as little as 70 minutes. For participants whose support workers or allied health providers invoice regularly and for whom delayed payment risks the continuation of services, the difference between a 1–2 day and a 3–5 day processing window is not trivial. NDSP's processing is reliable within its stated timeframe, but participants who specifically need the fastest available payment speed should compare it directly against providers whose processing model is built around automated, same-day invoice handling.

Support hours close at 5:30pm and there is no dedicated mobile app. NDSP's Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:30pm AEST support window is standard for the industry but does not accommodate participants who need to contact their plan manager outside business hours — during evenings, on weekends, or across time zones where 5:30pm AEST is mid-afternoon. For comparison, MyIntegra operates until 8pm AEST. NDSP does not currently offer a dedicated iOS or Android app; Nappa is a web portal, which means the experience on mobile is a browser-based interface rather than a purpose-built app with push notifications. For participants who manage their plan primarily from a phone, or who rely on notification-driven invoice approvals, the absence of a dedicated app is a usability gap that competitors with native apps have already closed.

Who it suits best

NDSP is well suited to participants who want a well-established, independent plan manager with a strong community reputation and a practical, full-featured web portal. It is a reliable choice for participants across all states who value consistent service from a provider with a demonstrated track record of positive participant outcomes and no corporate parent redirecting the organisation's priorities. Participants who manage plans with moderate invoice volumes — where 3–5 day processing is acceptable — will find NDSP's standard reliable. Those who need the fastest available invoice processing, extended evening support hours, or a dedicated mobile app experience may find My Plan Manager or MyIntegra a closer fit for those specific requirements.

Pricing

Plan management through NDSP costs NDIS participants nothing out of pocket. The NDIA funds the service at approximately $104.45 per month for adults from a separate Improved Life Choices budget — this allocation does not reduce any other part of your plan. A one-off establishment fee of approximately $230 to $235 is also funded by the NDIA when plan management is first added to your plan. NDSP cannot charge participants directly for plan management services beyond the NDIS-set rate. Our verdict

NDSP is a dependable, independent plan manager with a scale of social proof — more than 1,050 participant reviews averaging 4.5 stars — that gives new participants confidence grounded in real-world experience rather than marketing claims. The Nappa portal is practical, the Paralympics Australia partnership reflects genuine disability sector alignment, and independent ownership removes the corporate-interest considerations that apply to listed-company competitors. The trade-offs are real: payment processing at 3–5 days is standard rather than leading, support hours close at 5:30pm, and there is no dedicated mobile app. For most participants, these are acceptable trade-offs for a proven, participant-trusted independent provider. If payment speed is your primary criterion, compare NDSP directly against My Plan Manager. If you are unsure which provider best fits your specific circumstances, our comparison tool can help you work that out.
