THE COMMUNITY NURSING REVIEW
Right at Home Australia review (2026)
Australian nursing services, local-office reviews and the evidence behind the brand.
01 / Is it a good fit?
Is Right at Home Australia a good fit for NDIS nursing?
This Right at Home Australia review is for NDIS participants considering community nursing. Search results also surface overseas businesses and employment reviews, so we checked the service, country and branch before using feedback. Our directly inspected Google evidence covers ACT & Queanbeyan, with selected clearly identifiable Australian accounts from Trustpilot for context.
Consider it if…
- You want to discuss nursing and practical daily support through a local team.
- You want a care plan that names the nurse, visit schedule and communication arrangements.
- You are prepared to compare local quotes and current staffing rather than rely on national scale.
Check first if…
- You need immediate clinical cover, specialist skills or guaranteed regular staff.
- The rating you found relates to a US or UK service, or a different Australian office.
- You expect a family app or digital care record without confirming Australian availability.
02 / Service at a glance
Nursing services at a glance
The following service details come from the provider’s Australian website. They describe its offer; they do not confirm a place on your local roster.
- Published nursing offer
- The Australian website lists nursing such as wound, catheter/stoma and medication care, plus other assessed clinical services.
- Scale
- The provider reports 60 local offices, more than 7,500 clients and 7.7 million care hours a year. These cover its wider care business, not NDIS nursing alone.
- Care model
- Local teams organise assessed care. Ask which visits a nurse delivers and which involve personal-care or support staff.
- Coverage
- A national network does not confirm your postcode, required clinical skill or start date. Contact the relevant Australian office.

Portal, mobile app and keeping informed
The Australian “How we work” page describes a care plan and notes kept in a folder in the client’s home. We did not verify an Australian client-app rating or a universal digital family portal. Overseas Right at Home software descriptions cannot establish what your local office offers. Ask how you will receive roster changes, see records and authorise access for someone you trust.

What do Right at Home Australia reviews actually show?
These are separate platform snapshots, not DisabilityChoice ratings. Scores cover the scopes described on each card and may change after the check date.
The directly checked Google sample is small
The ACT & Queanbeyan Google listing displayed four reviews: three five-star and one one-star. Only two included written accounts. That is too little evidence for a reliable estimate of nursing quality, even at that office. It also cannot represent the other Australian branches.
One family describes helpful coordination and care
On Google, Lucia Arnott’s family account praises the ACT & Queanbeyan team’s organisation, compassion and help arranging care at short notice. The remaining two five-star ratings contain no written detail, so they cannot tell us which services were delivered. A positive star without a story is weaker evidence for a particular nursing need.
A critical account raises follow-through questions
The one-star Google account reports work still outstanding after several months. The owner’s response addresses part of the complaint and offers to work towards an outcome; no completed resolution is visible. The review does not identify an NDIS nursing task, so we use it as a reason to ask how promised actions are tracked—not as evidence of a clinical failure.
An Australian nursing account offers useful, limited context
A January 2025 Trustpilot family account naming ACT/Queanbeyan describes arranging nursing alongside other care, help understanding the budget and efforts to retain familiar staff. This is an aged-care family experience, not an identified NDIS nursing case. Other visible accounts naming Sydney Hills and Gosford praise local support, but do not establish NDIS clinical outcomes.
Why we exclude the international headline score
The rightathome.net Trustpilot profile mixes countries and includes employment experiences. A US or UK account may describe a different operator, funding system and staffing model. We use only clearly attributable Australian examples here and do not calculate an Australian score from a selected subset.
Our interpretation
The useful signal is that some Australian families describe coordinated care and accessible local teams. The limitation is the very small, mixed-service nursing evidence base. A local assessment, written backup arrangement and clear total quote are still necessary; the public reviews cannot substitute for them.
Turn the reviews into useful questions
Write down your preferred visit times, what must happen if a nurse cannot attend, and who you want kept informed. Take the same questions to each provider.

Questions to ask before choosing
Who will be clinically responsible for my care?
Ask for the assessing nurse and escalation contact, and how the plan will distinguish nurse-delivered tasks from daily support. Request the assigned nurse’s qualifications and relevant experience.
Can the team cover my actual postcode and times?
Discuss frequency, required skills and start date. Ask what happens if the regular nurse is unavailable and whether after-hours clinical advice is included.
How will I and my chosen contact see the plan?
Confirm paper or digital access, how updates are communicated and who can correct records. Ask what happens if the primary family contact is unavailable.
What happens to unresolved requests or complaints?
Request a named contact and response timeframe. Ask how you can escalate a missed visit, an invoice question or a change in care needs, and how the outcome is recorded.
05 / Fees & switching
NDIS nursing costs, agreements and switching
The sources checked did not establish a current Australia-wide NDIS nursing tariff, minimum booking or cancellation period. Older aged-care rate schedules are not reliable substitutes. Get a written quote from the local Australian office, including nursing level, visit duration, travel, time-of-day loadings, reports, consumables and cancellation terms.
Funding and registration: check your arrangement
A provider’s service list does not establish that the NDIS will fund every item for you. Start with our NDIS nursing funding guide and confirm the support and budget before agreeing to charges. NDIS guidance says NDIA-managed participants must use registered providers; self-managed and plan-managed participants generally have more choice, with exceptions. Confirm the legal entity and required registration for your proposed service. This review does not certify the registration of every franchise.
Protect continuity when changing providers
Agree the end date, notice obligations, outstanding invoices and consented transfer of the care plan. Confirm the incoming team’s first visit and backup arrangements before ending essential support. Discuss clinical changes with your treating team; this review cannot assess the safety of a care transition.
06 / Compare options
Compare local nursing options
Compare Right at Home with another office that can actually serve your area, including Nurse Next Door or Just Better Care where relevant. Ask each for a roster and complete quote for the same needs. Right at Home’s scale does not prove stronger local capacity, and the ACT & Queanbeyan score should not be used to rank every branch above another network.
Compare the service, not just the stars
- The named nurse and relevant skills.
- Your actual visit times and backup coverage.
- The complete weekly cost and cancellation rules.
- How records, complaints and family updates are handled.
Check funding before committing
Use the nursing guide to separate disability-related nursing from care funded through other systems, then discuss your proposed service with the provider.
Read the NDIS nursing guideCurrent next step: DisabilityChoice is not yet matching participants with nursing providers. Use the checklist and contact providers directly; no nursing availability or referral partnership is implied.
07 / FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Are overseas Right at Home reviews relevant to Australia?
They may describe a different operator and system. This review separates Australian branch-identifiable experiences and excludes the international aggregate score from its Australian assessment.
Is the 4.0 Google score for all Right at Home offices?
No. It is the ACT & Queanbeyan listing’s score from four reviews when checked on 17 October 2026. It is neither a national score nor a nursing-only score.
Does Right at Home offer NDIS nursing everywhere?
The Australian site publishes nursing and disability-support services. Your local office must confirm the nursing skills, funded service, capacity and postcode coverage you need.
Is there an Australian family app?
We did not establish a universal Australian client app or matched app-store score. Ask the office to demonstrate its records and family-communication arrangements before relying on them.
Sources and research method
All four Google reviews displayed for ACT & Queanbeyan and their owner responses were read on 17 October 2026. Their displayed ages ranged from about three months to two years; exact dates were not inferred. The listing was matched by its Australian address, phone and link to the official branch website. The visible Trustpilot page was screened for explicitly named Australian branches; this was not an exhaustive international review audit. An account labelled AU without a branch was not treated as branch-specific evidence. No nationwide Google or NDIS nursing-only aggregate was calculated.
This is desk research into public information, not a clinical inspection, a personally tested service or a representative survey. Individual reviews are attributed experiences, not independently established findings. Provider statements and our interpretation are distinguished throughout.
